ProPrime Taq DNA Polymerase is an engineered variant of Taq DNA Polymerase that offers superior tolerance to endogenous and exogenous inhibitors in clinical specimens featuring fast amplification speed and high sensitivity, making it ideal for rapid PCR and for detection of low abundance target DNA. ProPrime Taq DNA Polymerase is suitable for PCR and dye- or probe-based quantitative PCR (qPCR).

Applications

  • Direct qPCR/PCR: amplification directly from whole blood, crude fecal samples, and plant materials with no DNA extraction needed.

One unit refers to the amount of enzyme required to catalyze 10 nmol dNTP added into acid-insoluble precipitate at 74°C for 30 min using activated salmon sperm DNA as a template / primer.

Fapon ProPrime Taq DNA Polymerase demonstrates exceptional tolerance to whole blood, with the ability to handle up to 20% whole blood in PCR systems and 10% in qPCR systems. A human endogenous gene was used as qPCR/PCR target.
