MD01009 ProPrime Taq DNA Polymerase
Strong inhibitor tolerance, rapid amplification speed, and high sensitivity for reliable PCR and qPCR performance.
Product Descriptions
ProPrime Taq DNA Polymerase is an engineered variant of Taq DNA Polymerase that offers superior tolerance to endogenous and exogenous inhibitors in clinical specimens featuring fast amplification speed and high sensitivity, making it ideal for rapid PCR and for detection of low abundance target DNA. ProPrime Taq DNA Polymerase is suitable for PCR and dye- or probe-based quantitative PCR (qPCR).
Specifications & Components
Applications
Direct qPCR/PCR: amplification directly from whole blood, crude fecal samples, and plant materials with no DNA extraction needed.
Hot start fast qPCR/PCR and ARMS-PCR (Amplification Refractory Mutation System-PCR).
Unit Definition
One unit refers to the amount of enzyme required to catalyze 10 nmol dNTP added into acid-insoluble precipitate at 74°C for 30 min using activated salmon sperm DNA as a template / primer.

Key Performance Data
Extraordinary Blood Resistance
Fapon ProPrime Taq DNA Polymerase demonstrates exceptional tolerance to whole blood, with the ability to handle up to 20% whole blood in PCR systems and 10% in qPCR systems. A human endogenous gene was used as qPCR/PCR target.
Broad-spectrum and Potent Resistance to Inhibitors in PCR
*The √ symbol denotes data that exhibited a distinct electrophoretic band.
PCR tests were performed in the presence of a wide range of inhibitors, including impurities from blood, fecal, and soil samples, extraction reagent residues, and PCR enhancers. The results demonstrated that ProPrime Taq DNA Polymerase exhibits robust resistance.
Ultra-Fast Amplification Speed
Target: Human genomic DNA -2kb
Extension time: 15sec
Amplification speed: 7.5sec/kb
The extension speed of ProPrime Taq DNA Polymerase reaches up to 7.5sec/kb, with high specificity in amplification, superior to the competing products tested.
High Sensitivity
ProPrime Taq DNA Polymerase can amplify as low as 10-7 ng λ DNA substrate with more distinguished DNA bands which indicates higher sensitivity.
Exceptional Amplification Efficiency, Reproducibility and qPCR Performance
ProPrime Taq DNA Polymerase shows superior performance in terms of amplification efficiency, linearity, and sensitivity when evaluated with plasmid or human genomic DNA samples.
