Proteinase K (lyophilized)

MD025-P1 Proteinase K

A broad-range serine protease for protein digestion.

Product Descriptions

Proteinase K a highly active broad-range serine protease and is widely used for proteins/enzymes degradation in the preparation of biological specimens. Proteinase K cleaves peptide bond on the carboxylic acid side of aliphatic, aromatic or hydrophobic amino acids residues. The recombmbinant proteinase K is expressed in yeast. Proteinase K remains active under a variety of conditions including pH between 4.0 to 12.0, the presence of 2% SDS or 4M urea. In addition, the activity of proteinase K is not affected by chelating agents such as EDTA.
